IMPORTANT:BeforeusingyourBaker'sPridegriddle,theprotectivecoatingthatwasappliedatthefactory

mustbecompletelyremovedwithacommercialde-greaser.Afterathroughcleaningapplyahigh

temperaturesaltfreefryingoilandyourunitisreadytouse.

1.Aseparategasshut-offvalveshouldbeinstalledinthegaslineaheadoftheunit,asrequiredbycodes.

2.LIGHTING:Followtheinstructionsonpage5.

3.Atleast24inchesmustbeprovidedatthefrontofunitforservicing.

4.Wheninstalling,neverenclosethebottomareaoftheunitwitharaisedcurborotherconstructionthatwould

obstructtheflowofairintotheunit.

5.Thisunitmaybeoperatedwith0”(sideandback)minimumclearancetonon-combustibleconstruction

materials.

6.Thisinstallationmustconformtolocalcodes,orinabsenceoflocalcodestotheNationalFuelGasCodeANSI

Z223.1,latestedition.InCanadaitmustconformtocurrentNationalStandardCAN/CGAB149.1(natural

gas)orCAN/CGAB149.2(propane)InstallationCodeforGasBurningAppliances&Equipment.

7.Electricaldiagram(modelXSGonly)islocatedontherightsideoftheunit.

8.Theapplianceanditsindividualshut-offvalvemustbedisconnectedfromthegassupplypipingsystemduring

anypressuretestingofthatsystemattestpressuresinexcessof1/2”psi(3.45kPa).

9.Theappliancemustbeisolatedfromthegassupplypipingsystembyclosingitsindividualmanualshut-off

valveduringanypressuretestingofthegassupplypipingsystemattestpressuresequaltoorlessthan1/2”

psi(3.45kPa).

10.Thisappliancemustbeinstalledunderaventilationhood.

11.Donotobstructtheflowofcombustionandventilationair.

12.Theareaaroundthisoranyothergasappliancemustalwaysbekeptfreeandclearfromcombustibles.

Carefullyunpackthegriddleandinspectimmediatelyforshippingdamages.YourGriddlewasshippedina

cartondesignedtogivemaximumprotectioninnormalhandling.Itwasthoroughlyinspectedbeforeleavingthe

factoryandthecarrieracceptedandsignedforit.Fileanyclaimsforshippingdamageorirregularitieswiththecarrier.
